Boston fans racist.

No,  fans should not be considered racist based off what one person said. there's an entire city of people and one person doesn't speak for all of them. The case would be different if it was someone who actually represents the people of the city, like the governor. To take these comments and blame an entire city for being racist is absolutely ridiculous. This completely takes what the city believes in out of context.

What is a sport

I think a sport is any physically demanding game that requires skill and is competitive. This definition keeps anything that could be competitive but not skill worthy out of the "sports" category... For example, competitive beer bottle smashing is competitive, but in reality it doesn't require any skill because anyone without any prior knowledge of how to do it can take a beer bottle and smash it "competitively"
It needs to be competitive because any non competitive activity cannot be classified as a sport. You can do dance outside of school, or you can do competitive dance. It's not a sport until it become competitive. Without the competitive nature it is simply a hobby or game.
In order to be a sport it has to be widely recognized as a sport as well. You cannot have it be a sport in some random part of the country and somewhere else it is not. Sports have to have wide spread recognition. In the end everyone's opinion of what a sport is, is different. But without the competitiveness it is just a hobby or activity, and without the aspect of skill it is simply a game. The thing that sets sports apart is the fact that you have to build up your competitive and skillful nature.
